The Cologne branch of Ketterer Kunst is dedicating this year’s fall exhibition to the exceptional artist Asger Jorn (1914–1973), highlighting his formative influence on later generations of artists.
Starting on September 5, guest curator Axel Heil will present a visual dialogue between Jorn, his immediate companions, and contemporary artists as part of DC Open.
As one of the most significant artists of the second half of the 20th century, Asger Jorn continues to fascinate with his irrepressible artistic diversity. The exhibition “SECONDA HORISONDA – ASGER JORN AND THE OTHERS” brings together seven decades of artistic exploration and, in rhizome-like “series of images,” traces those memories of the future that constitute the enduring presence of his art.
