ANGELIKA PLATEN. EINEN AUGENBLICK BITTE!

The Museum Ratingen is dedicating a comprehensive solo exhibition to Angelika Platen (born 1942), with a focus on the Rhineland art scene. Since 1968, the Berlin-based photographer has been capturing artists and cultural figures with her camera. Photographs of Joseph Beuys, Charlotte Moorman, Sigmar Polke and Günther Uecker are juxtaposed with a younger generation of international artists. While her early photos were analogue and black-and-white, Angelika Platen switched to digital and colour in the 2000s. Her career is traced in the special exhibition with around 70 photographs.
