The exhibition Gary Kuehn: In Situ, marks one of the largest survey exhibitions in the United States of the renowned American sculptor. Developing structures beyond simple Minimalism, Kuehn utilizes everyday materials such as twigs, tar, wood, and fiberglass to create evocative sculptures that lean, sag, or sit on the floor like real objects in the world. Showcasing a range of works by the artist, In Situ sites the work of Kuehn in its rightful place at the center of postminimalist sculpture.
Gary Kuehn: In Situ, curated by Sid Sachs, is made possible with support from The John B. Hurford ’60 Center for the Arts and Humanities.
